Babies and children with motor development delays

Within our practice, we treat children with motor development delays of all ages, for example, we see:
- Babies and toddlers who reach motor milestones delayed (late in rolling over, sitting, crawling, standing or walking)
- Babies and children who show an unusual form of locomotion (butt sliding, toe walking)
- School-age children who have problems with fine motor skills (e.g. abnormal pen grip, difficulty with colouring or writing, difficulty with cutting, tying laces, etc.) or gross motor skills (e.g. running in a lumbering manner, frequent falling/stumbling, difficulty with balance, not being able to hop or skip properly, difficulty climbing, difficulty catching or throwing a ball or not being able to keep up in gym class, etc.).

Requests for help may then come from various angles, for example by the child itself, parents, school or sports club. We map out these (motor) problems and treat them through active exercise therapy, homework exercises and, if necessary, aids (such as grippers, stethro) can be used at home and/or at school.
