I am Simone Becx, and since 1999 I have been working as a pediatric physiotherapist. Since 2008, I have been happily working in this practice. Since 2015, I have been a partner and co-owner of the practice, where we have a great team.
My specializations include children with:
- Clubfoot (Improved detection and treatment of relapsed clubfoot)
- Infants with more complex problems
- Prematurely born babies
- Crying babies, irritable babies
- Hyperventilation/dysfunctional breathing
- Lung problems including asthma
- Sensory information processing issues
- Sensomotor training
- Orthopedic conditions
- Medical taping
I work at the Barrierweg location and often visit infants with more complex issues at home. I am also a ToP therapist and support severely premature children at home with the ToP program. Additionally, I work at the SBO Petraschool.
I enjoy seeing children develop, and my motivation is to help a child and their parents progress in that development when, for whatever reason, it doesn't happen naturally. That, combined with the variety of groups I work with, makes my job the most enjoyable one there is! I am married and a mother of two, now adult, daughters. In my free time, I like to play sports, especially tennis. I enjoy reading, love spending time with friends and family, and I also enjoy going to the movies.
